Brent crude trade higher at $66.11/bbl

Crude oil prices rose Rs 17 to Rs 5,444 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand.

Crude oil for November delivery traded higher Rs 17 or 0.31 per cent at Rs 5,444 per barrel in 14,506 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude for the December contract was trading 0.28 per cent higher at $61.67 per barrel, while Brent crude for the December contract rose 0.26 per cent to $66.11 per barrel in New York.
